Emitter tip replacements

Emitter tip replacements

The stationary phase in our column is packed directly into the emitter tip to eliminate post-column dead volume. Therefore, the emitter cannot be replaced as a separate item. Provided that samples loaded on to the column are free of salts and other contaminants and voltage is applied to the column during operation, the emitter should perform to a high standard for several months.

    • Low amounts (1mM - 10mM) of HEPES in a sample

The presence of small concentrations of HEPES should not affect the column chemistry, however, there is a significant risk of fouling the emitter tip leading to spray instability as HEPES is not volatile and may deposit on the tip.
