Frontier 60x75 column – Recommended conditions
Temperature & flow rate
A column oven must be installed at the mass spectrometer source for the 60 cm Aurora Frontier column. For typical operation we recommend a flow rate between 100 and 300 nl/min with the column oven set to 60°C. The maximum operating temperature is 60°C. Flow rates can be increased or decreased to suit particular applications.
Maximum pressure
Aurora Series columns and nanoZero® fitting can both handle pressures can withstand pressures >1700 bar.
Expected back pressure
The below graph depicts the expected backpressure of a 60 cm Aurora Frontier column, for a given flow rate at 60°C. This data was recorded after 50 sample injections using a buffer composition of 79.9% water, 20% acetonitrile, 0.1% formic acid.
