Recommended conditions for 25cm Aurora Ultimate column
Temperature & flow rate
We recommend the use of a column oven installed at the mass spectrometer source for the 25cm Aurora Ultimate column. Operation without a column oven may result in fluctuating operating temperatures and higher back pressures at optimal flow rates, generating inconsistent sample separation.
For typical operation we recommend a flow rate around 400 nl/min with the column oven set to 40-60°C. This will ensure UHPLC back pressures of around 600-700 bar. The maximum operating temperature is 60°C. Flow rates can be increased or decreased to suit particular applications.
Maximum pressure
Aurora Series columns can withstand pressures >1700 bar (Gen3) and >1200bar (Gen2).
