Elite 15x75 column – Recommended conditions
Temperature & flow rate
We recommend the use of a column oven installed at the mass spectrometer source for the Elite 15x75 column. Operation without a column oven may result in fluctuating operating temperatures and higher back pressures at optimal flow rates, generating inconsistent sample separation.
For typical operation recommend a flow rate between 100 to 600 nl/min with the column oven set to 40-60°C. The maximum operating temperature is 60°C. Flow rates can be increased or decreased to suit particular applications.
Maximum pressure
Aurora Series columns and nanoZero® fitting can both handle pressures can withstand pressures >1700 bar.
Expected back pressure
The below graph depicts the expected backpressure of a Elite 15x75 column, for a given flow rate at both room temperature and 40°C. The buffer composition is 79.9% water, 20% acetonitrile, 0.1% formic acid.
