Standby and idle conditions

Standby and idle conditions

To optimise column lifetime and performance, we recommend that the following conditions are met while your instrument is standby and idle mode:
  1. The instrument continues to run at the desired operating pressure
  2. The instrument ideally continues to run blank samples using mobile phase gradients typical of normal operation
  3. Spray voltage is maintained during these operations

Alert
Important
Extended periods of time at isocratic flow will reduce column performance. Column performance can be recovered by running a blank gradient without sample injection.
